THE MALTA CHAMBER LAUNCHES SIX-PART DIGITALISATION WORKSHOP SERIES FOR BUSINESS LEADERS

The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry is launching a six-part workshop series designed to give Maltese businesses practical tools for adopting digital technologies, running from 10 September to 29 October 2026.

The Malta Chamber Digitalisation Workshops target business owners, directors and senior decision-makers across sectors, covering automation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity and digital transformation. Each session is built around applied examples and actionable takeaways rather than technical theory.

Malta Chamber President William Spiteri Bailey said the initiative reflects a shift in how businesses need to engage with technology. “Digitalisation is no longer optional. It drives competitiveness, strengthens business adaptability and supports sustainable growth. Through the workshops, we want to equip businesses with the knowledge and confidence to embrace new technologies, make informed investment decisions and unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth.”

The six sessions are spread across roughly seven weeks. The opening workshop on 10 September is open to all sectors and unpacks the distinctions between automation, the Internet of Things and AI, and how they work together in practice. A manufacturing-specific session on 16 September follows, focused on converting operational data into production and demand insights.

Importers, distributors and retailers get a dedicated session on 22 September, examining how predictive analytics can support stock planning, customer retention and commercial decision-making. Three further all-sector sessions round out the programme: an AI workshop on 6 October covering generative AI, machine learning and conversational technologies; a digital transformation roadmap session on 19 October spanning ERP integration, software, branding and web and mobile strategy; and a closing workshop on 29 October addressing cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, responsible AI and governance frameworks.

The chamber says the series is designed to cut through the noise around emerging technologies and keep the focus on measurable business value – a reasonable ambition given how much jargon tends to surround the subject.

Full registration details are expected to be published on the Malta Chamber website and social media channels shortly.
