Meta’s Muse AI personal agent app has climbed to the top of the Apple iOS App Store in the United States, less than two weeks after its launch.

As of Monday, Muse ranks ahead of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, SpaceXAI’s Grok AI, Polymarket and Kashi in the free apps category. It also sits above Meta’s own Meta AI application, according to a post on Instagram.

The speed of the ascent is notable given the competitive field. ChatGPT and Claude are both established names in the consumer AI space and Grok AI has the backing of a high-profile platform in X. Muse has leapfrogged all of them in US free app rankings within a fortnight of becoming available.

Meta has not publicly detailed what distinguishes Muse from its existing Meta AI product, and the source material does not elaborate on feature differences. What is clear is that early download momentum has been strong enough to push it past several well-resourced rivals in a short window.

Whether that momentum reflects genuine sustained interest or an initial curiosity spike remains to be seen. App Store chart positions can shift quickly and first-mover download surges do not always translate into lasting engagement. For now though, Muse has made a striking entrance into a crowded market.
