A half-day conference on family business growth is coming to Valletta on 1st October 2026, with The Malta Chamber hosting a morning session that runs from 08:30 to 12:00. The event, titled “Turning Growth into Profit: Structure, Governance and Digitalisation in Family Business,” forms part of Malta SME Week and is organised in collaboration with EMCS and Family Business Office Malta.
The speaker line-up covers a broad sweep of the challenges facing family-owned businesses right now: productivity, governance, long-term strategic planning and the push towards digitalisation. It is a practical brief, and the roster reflects that.
The confirmed speakers, include Hon. Silvio Schembri, Minister for the Economy, Technology and Strategic Projects; Silvan Mifsud, Vice President of The Malta Chamber; Dr Joseph Gerada, Regulator at the Family Business Office; Jordy McKay, Head of Corporate Banking at BNF Bank plc and Kurt Muscat, Manager at EMCS. Rachel Bondi Attard, Head of Media and Communications Strategist at The Malta Chamber, will take the moderator’s seat.
Together, they bring perspectives from government, banking, regulation and business services. That mix should make for a genuinely varied morning rather than a panel of people agreeing with one another.
The event takes place at The Malta Chamber in Valletta. Registration is open via the link shared in the original announcement.
