The first two MeetInc interviews have been released, and they feature three different powerhouses in their respective industries.
Malta’s new online platform and hub for local businesses, MeetInc will be releasing a number of interviews, podcasts and clips featuring industry leaders and up-and-coming businesspeople… and first up is a one-on-one interview with three very big names.
Mark Grech is the co-founder of greatt, a local production company which has brought some of the biggest shows in the world to our tiny island, from MasterChef to Shark Tank. Speaking to MeetInc ahead of last season’s X Factor Malta live shows, Grech highlighted the vital role education on his sector has, and what a hurdle this can prove to be.
“Being a singer, being an artist, doing what we do, is done for free, as a hobby,” Grech said was one of the biggest misconceptions about his industry is. “So there needs to be more awareness… for example not asking for free tickets. I know a lot of people who own supermarkets. I don’t go there, fill my shopping trolley and leave because I know the person!”
Another essential hurdle which needs to be tackled head-on, Grech stressed, is Malta’s infrastructure, bringing up last November’s highly-successful international gaming conference SiGMA… and the island-stopping traffic congestion which was caused due to Malta’s subpar infrastructure.

MeetInc also sat with Karl Ebejer and Anthony Bonnici, the co-founders of local architectural practice EBEJER BONNICI, who have created everything from private villas in the Maltese countryside and limestone hotels in a village pjazza to a house in Mexico and a casino for the Metaverse.
“To think of the past and to romanticise the past at its core is cynicism,” Bonnici said of his motivations. “So what we want to do is accept what there is, and change it.”
“Otherwise we risk getting stuck admiring the past and not even having a future,” Ebejer continued. If you romanticise the past and obsess with it too much, OK let’s respect it 100%. Our kids’ kids, for example. Will there be anything that will be saved, today?”
“Even the best heroes or the best ideas want to change the world, not save it,” Bonnici stressed. “I don’t want to save Malta, I want to change it. How we do it is by waking up every morning and being hell-bent on having innovative ideas.”
Hear that insightful revelation straight from Ebejer and Bonnici below… and then continue watching the full interview here.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the content you can already access on MeetInc.
From business profiles to CEO directories – and a business-centric news hub – MeetInc has everything you need if you’re looking to discover and connect with various stakeholders in your respective industry.
Meanwhile, also, our Video Series section also has a number of interviews you can check out, including but not limited to the people behind greatt and EBEJER BONNICI.
