About Bigbon Group
Bigbon Group’s remarkable journey can be traced back to the early 1950s when the visionary entrepreneur, Carmelo Gauci, embarked on a path as a materials and fabrics trader, selling his wares as a hawker. His business acumen was his legacy passed down to his 15 children. Together, they nurtured and expanded the family’s enterprise, culminating in the establishment of our inaugural retail store in 1955, nestled in the heart of Birkirkara, Malta. This significant milestone marked our entry into the vibrant world of the wholesale sector.
Over the years, Carmelo Gauci’s sons lent their invaluable expertise and unwavering dedication to the evolution of the group, overseeing its growth in retail, wholesale, and eventually, the manufacturing market.
Today, Bigbon Group stands as a living testament to the enduring legacy of the Gauci family, proudly owned and stewarded by Bernard and Mario Gauci.
Within the Maltese Islands, Bigbon Group represent the esteemed Spanish retail giant, Inditex Group. Our portfolio includes the management of the renowned brands Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho, and Massimo Dutti.
Moreover, Bigbon Group has evolved to become a specialised force in the retail market arena, with a sharp focus on the fast fashion industry. Our commitment to excellence in this fast passed and dynamic sector has allowed us to attract and retain the best talent in the field.
