H6, an AI finance automation and governance platform, has processed €30 million in invoices since launching in January 2026 and has filed a US patent application covering its approach to policy-driven finance automation.
The company now works with 15 clients and has 150 daily users. Of those clients, 40% are listed companies or belong to groups with publicly traded bonds in Malta. H6 said the figures reflect growing adoption within finance operations where accuracy, accountability and control matter.
The patent filing covers what H6 describes as the separation of AI interpretation from controlled execution. The platform's AI interprets invoices, while a deterministic policy engine applies an organisation's rules to decide what happens next. That design lets it handle complex invoices, including those without purchase orders, while keeping decisions traceable, policies versioned and exceptions open to review. Finance teams define the controls that must be met before an invoice can be posted to their accounting system.
"€30 million processed since January and 150 people using H6 daily show the momentum we're building," said Benji Borg, chief executive and co-founder. "Finance teams are trusting H6 with real invoices and complex financial controls."
Co-founder Mauro Pirrone said the company was built around a clear principle. "AI interprets, finance governs and H6 executes. Our patent filing reflects this approach, allowing businesses to scale automation while keeping their financial rules explicit, traceable and under their control," he said.
The platform has been rolling out touchless accounts payable to finance teams across Malta, changing how one of their most manual processes works. Accounts payable has traditionally meant heavy manual handling of invoices, and H6 is pitching its model as a way to automate that while leaving the rules with finance staff.
H6 will present case studies and finance teams using the platform at an event, H6 in Practice, on 19 November 2026 at the Malta Marriott in Ballutta.
