The move carried a particular resonance for Antoine Fenech, with the office being left behind had been Deloitte’s home for fifteen years and, by coincidence, was the very building Fenech first walked into as a university student starting out at the firm. That overlap gave the day a personal weight that went beyond the practicalities of a relocation.

Fenech noted that the original move into that office had also been accompanied by nostalgia, though optimism had won out then and the same dynamic was at play now.
