Aston Martin has unveiled its first street-legal motorcycle, the AMB 002 Roadster, developed in partnership with British marque Brough Superior and strictly limited to 300 hand-built examples.

The machine marks a significant departure for Aston Martin in two-wheeled terms. Its predecessors, the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, were confined to the track. The Roadster is built from the ground up as a road-going proposition, with both companies confirming that no components have been carried over and nothing has simply been homologated for public roads.

The centrepiece is an all-new 1,083cc water-cooled V-Twin producing 130 hp and 110 Nm of torque. The unit has been designed, machined and assembled at Brough Superior’s Toulouse facility, with billet CNC-machined cases throughout. Power delivery is tuned for strong low and mid-range torque alongside a spirited top-end, though neither company has published outright speed figures.

The engineering ambition extends well beyond the engine. The frame is milled from a single piece of billet titanium and weighs just 5 kg, contributing to an overall kerb weight of 190 kg and a claimed 50:50 weight distribution. Up front, a double-wishbone Fior fork handles suspension duties, separating steering and braking forces in a way that conventional telescopic forks cannot replicate.

Aston Martin’s design studio left its mark across the bodywork. The most recognisable touch is the reimagined side strake, a signature Aston motif, piercing the carbon fibre fairings. The rear carries V-shaped LED light blades drawn directly from the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla, while a dual exhaust system features ribbed heat sinks referencing the exhaust finisher treatment on the DB12 S, DBX S and Vanquish. A circular digital instrument cluster, push-button ignition and hand-crafted leather seat pads complete a cockpit that feels considerably closer to a sports car than a conventional motorcycle.

Carbon fibre runs throughout the body, fenders and fuel tank. At 190 kg fully dressed, the AMB 002 Roadster presents itself as a serious piece of engineering rather than a licensing exercise dressed up in a famous badge.

Brough Superior is accepting orders now, with first deliveries expected in the third quarter of 2027. Given the 300-unit cap, the window for prospective buyers is narrower than the titanium frame itself.
