A lawyer by profession with over thirty years’ experience, Dr. Christian Farrugia is one of the founding partners of FFF Legal, a leading business law firm in Malta. He graduated as a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 1986 and a year later, pursued his post-graduate studies in Maritime and Insurance
Law at University College, London. Dr Farrugia has accumulated a wealth of practical experience and know-how in several areas of law, notably corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, shipping, asset finance and financial services.

In the year 1997, Christian also set up ARQ Fiduciaries Limited, a company which is licenced by the MFSA to provide trusts and fiduciary services under the Trusts & Trustees Act. The company today forms part of the ARQ Group, a multi-disciplinary professional services organization of which he is also a founder and director. Throughout his career, Christian acted as legal counsel to the boards of numerous corporate clients across several industries. He currently also holds the position of non-executive director of five regulated entities including A.X Real Estate PLC, Merkanti Bank Limited and Advent Insurance PCC Ltd. He acts as Chairman of the latter two.

Dr Farrugia is a member of the Chamber of Advocates, the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also a part time lecturer in Asset Finance Law at the University of Malta.
