SiGMA is expanding its global footprint once again, this time bringing its first-ever South Asia summit to Colombo, Sri Lanka. Taking place between 30 November and 2 December 2025, SiGMA South Asia 2025 will gather operators, affiliates, suppliers, investors, and tech innovators for three packed days of keynotes, panels, fireside chats, and high-value networking. Though the main conference runs on 1 and 2 December, the opening day is dedicated to pre-event activities designed to set the tone for a major new entry in the region’s digital economy calendar.
The event marks an important moment for South Asia’s fast-growing iGaming, blockchain, and emerging tech sectors, with the summit framed as a gateway to one of the world’s most dynamic digital markets. It also features a notable Maltese connection: H.E. Reuben Gauci, Malta’s High Commissioner to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ambassador to Nepal, will officially open the summit. Malta’s presence underscores the island’s ongoing role as a global hub for digital innovation, iGaming regulation, and fintech diplomacy.
SiGMA has curated an agenda that reflects the depth of South Asia’s technological momentum, showcasing a diverse roster of leaders shaping the region’s digital future. Across two days of discussions, ten standout speakers illustrate the breadth of expertise delegates can expect.
Kicking off the programme on 1 December is Joe Pisano, CEO of JADE Entertainment and Gaming, exploring how AI and data are reshaping player identity and digital casino environments. His session reflects a key theme running through the summit: the intersection of emerging technology and responsible innovation.
Shortly after, Raj Kapoor, Founder of the India Blockchain Alliance, will deliver a keynote on tokenisation, highlighting its potential to transform traditional asset classes into liquid, global digital markets. The blockchain agenda continues with Adam Fonsica, Co-Founder and COO of Random State, who will explore the evolution of chance-based gaming in a digital-first landscape.
AI also takes centre stage, with Vector AI Founder Jeevan Gnanam diving into the power of AI agents in business automation and decision-making. Meanwhile, blockchain investor Evan Luthra joins the stage for a fireside chat on the next wave of Web3 adoption across South Asia.
Payments innovation — a critical pillar of the region’s digital transformation — will be addressed by Channa De Silva, CEO of LankaPay, and MasterCard Director Mahesha Amarasuriya. Their sessions examine the growing importance of payments orchestration and the future of frictionless digital transactions.
Security and infrastructure form another important thread in the agenda. Kapil Dhiman, Co-Founder and CEO of Quranium, will deliver a talk on quantum-resistant blockchain architecture, a topic rising in urgency as quantum computing becomes more commercially relevant.
Closing out the featured lineup is Sanali Kaushalya, Country Director of Women in Tech Sri Lanka, who will address the importance of inclusive tech ecosystems and responsible innovation to support long-term regional growth.
With a programme spanning blockchain breakthroughs, AI-powered business models, digital payments, and inclusive technology, SiGMA South Asia 2025 positions itself as a must-attend event for those watching the rapid evolution of South Asia’s digital economy — and a key opportunity for Malta to strengthen its relationships across the region.
