Maltese innovation consultancy 9H has strengthened its footprint in Saudi Arabia, with co-founders Zak Borg and Matthew Sammut officially stepping into leadership positions at Tayb, their joint venture in Riyadh.

The announcement was made during an exclusive dinner in the Saudi capital on 17 September, which brought together leading figures from the Kingdom’s business and creative communities. The event highlighted Tayb’s role as a cultural and commercial bridge, connecting Malta’s creativity with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious digital transformation drive under Vision 2030.

As part of the reshaped leadership lineup, Borg has been appointed Director, taking charge of growth, product rollouts, and scaling operations. Sammut has assumed the role of Chief Global Partnerships Officer, where he will focus on forging cross-border collaborations and strategic alliances that expand Tayb’s influence across the Middle East and beyond.

“This is Malta on the global stage,” Borg said. “Through Tayb, we’re proving that Maltese creativity and innovation can play in the biggest arenas, shaping how technology and storytelling come together to power transformation.”

The move reflects a sharpened focus on technology as Tayb accelerates its regional strategy and positions itself at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s push to lead in digital innovation.

Founded in Malta, 9H has built its reputation by merging creativity, technology, and system-level thinking to deliver solutions that connect industries and cultures. Tayb, its Saudi joint venture, is now set to become a key platform for expanding that vision globally.
