Hudson Morocco, Nike’s official distributor across Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa, has opened a new Nike concept store at Rabat’s Arribat Center – the latest move in the company’s accelerating push to build a monobrand retail network across the African continent.
The store, situated on the second floor of the centre on Avenue Omar Ibn Khattab, opened on 24th September. Hudson marked the occasion with a launch event that brought together consumers, influencers, media and VIP guests, with the day built around new collections and product innovations. Two moments defined the opening: the Morocco debut of Nike By You, the brand’s personalisation service allowing customers to customise products in-store and an exclusive collaboration with a Moroccan artist that produced heat-press stickers – a deliberate move to root a global retail format in something unmistakably local.
The store spans six product categories – Running, Training, Lifestyle, Kids, Jordans and Football – with football given prominent placement in the merchandising layout. That weighting is intentional. Football runs deep in Moroccan culture and Hudson is already positioning the brand ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco is set to co-host. The timing of this opening is no accident.
The Rabat store is part of a wider Hudson strategy to bring Nike’s retail presence into the heart of Morocco’s key cities. That momentum continues beyond the shop floor: Hudson has confirmed a Casablanca Marathon sponsorship on 25th October, embedding the brand in the country’s sporting calendar and signalling that its ambitions in Morocco extend well beyond square footage.
