APS Bank and Richmond Foundation have continued their joint mental health awareness campaign with the second session in their webinar series, held on Friday 20 June 2025. The event, titled Thriving at Every Age: Mental Health Matters, was aimed at members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme and explored how mental wellbeing can be supported throughout different stages of the working life.
The webinar focused in particular on the challenges and opportunities surrounding the mental health of older workers. It also addressed how generational attitudes towards mental health shape workplace dynamics, and offered strategies for building a more inclusive and understanding organisational culture.
Participants received practical advice on recognising signs of stress and burnout, fostering emotional resilience, and promoting healthier, more supportive working environments.
Mark Lamb, Corporate Schemes Manager at APS Bank, said: “We believe in supporting people throughout their working lives. These sessions offer simple, practical ways for everyone to better understand mental health and create healthier workplaces so they may then enjoy a long and happy retirement.”
The webinar series forms part of a broader package of benefits available to members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme – a second pillar pension framework open to both APS and non-APS employees. Employers that adopt the scheme for their workforce also gain access to initiatives like this one, which are designed to improve employee wellbeing and long-term quality of life.
