A $100,000 stake in Victoria’s Secret bought on the day the brand revived its Fashion Show would be worth about $337,000 today, according to a hypothetical calculation shared by the investing app Autopilot.
The stock closed at $26.43 on 15th October 2024, when the show returned after a six-year break with a more diverse line-up and performances from Cher, Lisa and Tyla. By 19th October 2026 it stood at $89.58, a gain of about 239 per cent.
The run was not smooth. By March 2025 that $100,000 would have fallen to roughly $63,000, a loss of about 37 per cent. Reaching the $337,000 figure meant holding through that drop.
For years the Fashion Show was one of the biggest nights in fashion, airing on network television every year from the early 2000s through 2018. Ratings fell sharply towards the end, and the brand drew criticism for feeling outdated and for having almost no body diversity. In 2018 a senior executive made comments about not casting plus-size or transgender models, prompting a large backlash. The show was cancelled in 2019.
Victoria’s Secret spent the following years rebranding. It brought in new spokeswomen, changed its marketing and became its own public company in 2021.
The company changed its ticker from $VSCO to $VSXY in June 2026.
Autopilot described the example as hypothetical, drawn from past closing prices, with no account taken of taxes, fees or trading costs, and not a recommendation to buy or sell any stock. It said investing carries risk, including possible loss of principal, and that past performance is not indicative of future results, with figures current as of 19th October 2026.
