Maserati has officially established its presence in Malta with the opening of its first dedicated showroom, marking the brand’s formal entry into the local market.
The showroom, operated by Motors Inc. Ltd, is located on Mdina Road in Qormi and was unveiled during a launch event showcasing Maserati’s latest vehicle line-up.
The opening represents a notable addition to Malta’s premium automotive segment, as international luxury brands continue to expand their footprint on the island.
Motors Inc. Chief Executive Officer Matthew Fenech said the new showroom reflects the company’s strategy of introducing high-end automotive brands to the Maltese market.
The launch event featured several of Maserati’s flagship models, highlighting the brand’s positioning at the intersection of performance, luxury and Italian design.
Among the models presented was the Grecale SUV, which combines everyday usability with performance-focused engineering and is available in both hybrid and V6 configurations.
The GranTurismo — offered in both coupé and cabrio formats — represents the brand’s grand touring heritage, while the MC Pura and GT2 Stradale models showcased Maserati’s more performance-driven capabilities, including advanced aerodynamics and racing-derived technology.
Maserati’s arrival in Malta reflects broader trends in the local automotive market, where demand for premium and luxury vehicles has grown alongside rising disposable income and evolving consumer preferences.
The expansion also signals continued confidence from international brands in Malta as a viable market for high-end retail and lifestyle offerings.
Founded in 1914, Maserati is one of Italy’s most recognised automotive brands, known for its focus on performance engineering and distinctive design.
Its entry into Malta adds to a growing portfolio of international automotive brands establishing a direct presence on the island through local dealership partnerships.
