The initiative was announced by Pio Vassallo, Group CEO of Vassallo Group Malta, who said the college was showcased to prospective students as part of a broader effort to promote Malta as a safe, high-quality destination for education. The outreach highlighted Malta’s reputation for state-of-the-art learning environments, lifestyle appeal, and growing international education offering.

The Mediterranean College of Sport, which opened its doors in September 2024, positions itself as a dual-career institution aimed at student-athletes seeking to develop their sporting potential alongside a structured academic pathway. The college combines sports development, sports science, technology and education, with the aim of preparing students for both international sporting careers and further education.
