GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti has been recognised by FashionTV Gaming Group President and Founder Moshe Cohen for his outstanding contribution to Malta’s gaming ecosystem and for helping position the island as a global hub for iGaming, esports, and video game development.
The recognition took place during FashionTV Gaming’s 10-year anniversary celebration in Rome, marking a proud moment for Malta’s thriving gaming community. Over the past decade, FashionTV Gaming has grown into one of the world’s leading luxury gaming brands — a success story closely intertwined with Malta’s emergence as the “Home of Gaming Excellence.”
Under Filletti’s leadership, GamingMalta, a foundation set up by the Government of Malta and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), has played a pivotal role in fostering the country’s reputation as a trusted, forward-looking jurisdiction for digital entertainment and innovation.
In his remarks, Moshe Cohen highlighted Malta’s strategic role in driving the brand’s global growth:
“Malta has not only been the home of FashionTV Gaming, but a source of vision, talent, and opportunity for the entire global gaming industry.”
The award also aligns with the government’s Envision 2050 strategy, spearheaded by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, which places gaming at the heart of Malta’s long-term sustainable growth. The strategy aims to consolidate Malta’s position as an international leader in digital industries through innovation, education, and collaboration.
Since his appointment in 2016, Filletti has overseen a broad range of initiatives supporting iGaming, esports, video game development, and immersive technologies. He previously received the SiGMA Outstanding Contribution to the Gaming Sector Award in 2018 for his work in shaping the industry’s evolution and maintaining Malta’s competitive edge.
