Bolt has launched Bolt Plus, a new subscription service that brings together ride-hailing and food delivery benefits under a single monthly membership — the first of its kind in Malta.
Available from Thursday, Bolt Plus will cost €4.99 per month, with the first month offered for free. Subscribers will get free delivery from selected restaurants and stores, priority Bolt Food delivery for faster arrival times and cashback rewards on rides.
These include 10 percent cashback on airport, scheduled and premium rides and five percent on all other ride categories, redeemable through a Bolt Balance account. The subscription also includes three free ride cancellations per month.
“Bolt Plus is another way we aim to improve our customers’ experience,” said Sam O’Byrne, Bolt Food’s General Manager. “We’re bringing more affordability, choice and convenience to Malta.”
Ryan Mahoney, Bolt’s Ride-Hailing General Manager, said the move was part of a wider mission to reduce private car use. “With Bolt Plus, we’re rewarding users for choosing shared mobility. Every ride and every decision to go car-free earns you extra perks and a smoother, more sustainable way to move across Malta,” he said.
Merchants offering free delivery to Bolt Plus members are marked with a “+” sign in the app. The new service is expected to boost usage across both Bolt’s delivery and transport platforms as the company continues expanding its footprint in Malta’s urban mobility market.
