I am the Joint-Managing Director of Laferla, a premier insurance provider in Malta, and also serve as a Director of Digimed, a groundbreaking telemedicine ecosystem developed within Malta. In my role at Laferla, I oversee the health and life insurance operations, leading the company to significant market share growth and establishing it as the foremost provider of expat health insurance and a top three provider of employee benefits insurance schemes, including Group Health, Group Life, and Corporate Pension Schemes, in Malta. My responsibilities encompass business and product development, aimed at maintaining Laferla’s market leadership in customer service and product offerings, while also focusing on the expansion in personal lines, business insurance, special projects, and investments. I have a keen interest in curating insurance packages for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. At Digimed, along with my co-founders, I have been instrumental in evolving the platform from a mere concept to a leading telemedicine ecosystem that empowers individuals and families by democratising personal health data, providing digital medical consultations, and seamlessly connecting patients, doctors, and pharmacies, thereby creating an all-encompassing digital health ecosystem.
