This June, SuperCharger Ventures will host FESTA; a six-day gathering that marks the country’s most ambitious attempt yet to define itself as a serious player in Europe’s innovation economy.
SuperCharger Ventures is the world’s largest EdTech-only accelerator, which has been quietly building a foothold in Malta since 2023. In that time, it has accelerated nearly 40 startups, hosted over 1,000 guests at Demo Days, and aligned closely with national ambitions to scale the country’s startup infrastructure.
Running from June 23rd to 28th, the event will bring together global investors, leading founders, policymakers, and corporate leaders for a week of high-level panels, workshops, and deal-making. But unlike traditional conferences, FESTA is designed to feel less like a summit and more like a movement – strategic, celebratory, and deeply local.
Each day of the programme focuses on a different sectoral or strategic theme, from Malta global success stories to AI debates, Investor meetings all whilst keeping the Maltese heritage alive. The goal is to spotlight Malta’s strengths, address its growing pains, and attract serious international attention to a market still seen as overlooked.
In keeping with SuperCharger’s commitment to honouring local heritage, this year’s event will take place at Verdala Palace, one of Malta’s most iconic historic sites. Often used as a backdrop in major productions – including Game of Thrones – the palace and its surrounding gardens will serve as a symbolic and strategic setting for FESTA’s vision: blending tradition with innovation.
Government leaders are expected to attend. And behind closed doors, conversations will likely turn to funding, regulation, and what it will take for Malta to compete not just regionally, but globally.
FESTA could become a cornerstone event in the European tech calendar. If this article spoke to you – tickets are still available on the official FESTA website: https://www.superchargerfesta.com/.
