The third edition of EY Engage took place on 19th June at the Intercontinental Hotel Arena, focusing on six main topics: Enterprise IT Transformation, Data & AI, Cloud-Enabled Business Transformation, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Resilience, and the AI-Augmented Workforce.
Over 500 CIOs, CTOs, and tech experts gathered for a mix of talks and breakout sessions to explore the challenges and opportunities in these areas.
The event kicked off with a welcome from Kevin Mallia, Consulting Partner at EY Malta, setting a tone of curiosity and forward-thinking. Michael Azzopardi from EY’s Technology Consulting shared insights on building a digital future, emphasising the importance of data and AI in driving innovation.
His talk highlighted EY’s dedication to leveraging transformative technology for a better working world. Presentations from EY’s Global Alliance Partners followed, offering perspectives on integrating advanced technologies into business strategies.

Notable speakers included Mary Bina from Microsoft, who discussed AI’s role in industry evolution and customer experience, and Ricardo Miguez Del from IBM, who talked about the potential of AI Assistants for workforce productivity.
Roberto Morandi from Dell Technologies explored Generative AI, and Patrice Favennec and Aurobrata Hui from Pegasystems spoke on AI’s impact on risk and compliance.
EY Engage emphasised excellence, integrity, and leadership, envisioning a future where technology and human ingenuity redefine business. Kevin Mallia summed up the event’s spirit.

Discussions highlighted AI, data analytics, and cloud technologies as crucial for business innovation and growth, stressing the importance of secure AI applications, agile cybersecurity, and robust data governance.
Tech leaders shared insights on transforming business operations and seizing new opportunities, focusing on AI’s potential to reshape business models, ethical data management, and the benefits of cloud platforms for scalability and efficiency.

EY Engage has become a hub for business leaders and tech experts to explore innovative technologies. The expo, with 20 exhibitors, fostered networking and showcased AI use cases, metaverse experiences, new hardware, and automation systems.
