The Malta Business Awards for their 5th edition, have once again attracted an exceptional level of interest from the local business community, with over 400 applications submitted across 19 award categories, Organised to celebrate excellence, innovation and entrepreneurship, the awards continue to recognise the outstanding achievements of Maltese businesses and the individuals driving them forward with Meetinc. being the official media partner for three consecutive years.

Among the most popular categories this year are the Small Business of the Year Award, which received close to 70 applications, highlighting the strength and resilience of Malta’s small business sector. Other highly contested categories include the Start-Up Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Family Business of the Year, reflecting the diversity and entrepreneurial spirit of the local business landscape.

With the application period now closed, the awards programme moves into the first phase of adjudication. Each of the 19 award categories will be assessed by an independent adjudicating committee composed of three expert adjudicators, ensuring a fair, transparent and merit-based evaluation process.

Following this initial assessment, the top five applicants in each category will be shortlisted and invited to the second phase of the competition. During this stage, shortlisted businesses and entrepreneurs will participate in an in-person interview with the adjudicating panel, allowing them to further present their achievements, business journey and future aspirations.

The winners will be announced during the prestigious Malta Business Awards Gala Night, which will take place on 20th November at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. The event will bring together leaders from the business community, government and industry to celebrate the success stories that continue to drive Malta’s economy forward and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
