Sullivan Maritime has appointed Karl Sullivan as Managing Director and Nigel Sullivan as Commercial Director, as the family-owned maritime firm marks its 30th year in business.

The appointments follow the death of company founder Ernest Sullivan, who passed away in April. With the two brothers now leading the business, the firm signals continuity at the top as it moves into its fourth decade.

Sullivan Maritime announced the changes on Instagram, framing the appointments as Karl and Nigel stepping forward to carry on the values and direction their father established when he founded the company.

The dual appointment positions the next generation to steer both the operational and commercial sides of the business at the same time. The timing, arriving at the 30-year mark, adds a degree of symbolic weight to what is already a substantive structural change for the firm.
