Lovin’ Dubai has taken its content operation onto the living-room screen, launching a 24/7 FAST channel on both Samsung TV and LG Channels – giving connected television audiences across the region free, always-on access to the brand’s news, culture and lifestyle programming.
The channel is available now and runs as a continuous linear broadcast, drawing on Lovin’ Dubai’s social-first storytelling and reformatting it for lean-back television viewing. It follows the earlier release of the Lovin’ TV app and represents what Augustus Media, the parent company, describes as the next logical step in building Lovin’ into a genuinely multi-platform media brand.
Richard Fitzgerald, CEO and Founder of Augustus Media, said the move into FAST was a natural extension of what Lovin’ Dubai has always done. “This is a natural evolution of how modern media brands grow beyond social and into connected television,” he said, adding that the format puts locally relevant, real-time content directly in front of audiences in the way they now expect to find it.
Landing on Samsung and LG’s smart TV platforms is strategically significant. Both sit among the world’s largest connected TV ecosystems, and securing distribution there places Lovin’ Dubai alongside established international broadcasters while keeping the editorial focus on regional programming. The FAST model itself – free to viewers, funded by advertising – removes the subscription barrier entirely, which matters in a market where smart TV adoption is rising quickly but streaming habits are still forming.
For advertisers, the channel adds a brand-safe video environment at meaningful scale, a pitch Augustus Media is actively making as FAST consumption grows on both a global and regional basis.
Lovin’ currently counts more than 10.2 million followers and 28 million monthly unique users and generates around 1.8 billion video views each year across more than 22 cities. Augustus Media’s wider portfolio spans regional content platform Smashi and production house Odeum.
The FAST channel launch is a considered move rather than a speculative one. Social reach remains the foundation, but connected television offers a different kind of audience engagement – longer, more attentive and increasingly attractive to brand partners. If FAST scales in the Middle East as projections suggest, Lovin’ Dubai has positioned itself early.
