The Chamber of Engineers (CoE) and the Kamra tal-Periti (KTP) have renewed their collaboration agreement for the Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee, reinforcing their commitment to representing Malta’s engineering professions at a European level.

The agreement was signed on 4th June 2026 by CoE President Dr Inġ. Bonnie Attard and KTP President Perit Andre Pizzuto, in the presence of International Affairs representatives Inġ. Ryan Grixti and Perit Dr Jeanette Muñoz Abela.

The Inġiniera Malta Joint Committee serves as the official body representing both organisations within Engineers Europe, the pan-European federation for the engineering profession. The organisation promotes professional standards, engineering excellence and cross-border mobility for engineers across more than 30 countries.

A key aspect of the committee’s work is supporting the EUR ING certification, a recognised European professional qualification that validates engineering competence and facilitates the recognition of qualifications across member countries.

Following the signing, the two organisations hosted an information session for members outlining the benefits of the EUR ING certification and its role in enhancing professional mobility and career opportunities within the European engineering sector.

The renewed agreement also paves the way for closer collaboration between the Chamber of Engineers and Kamra tal-Periti through joint initiatives, increased coordination and knowledge-sharing efforts aimed at supporting Malta’s engineering community.

Both organisations said the partnership reflects a shared vision of strengthening Malta’s voice within the European engineering landscape while promoting professional development, innovation and higher standards across the sector.
