Renowned architectural firm AP Valletta has been recognised for its outstanding contributions to preserving and reimagining Maltese built heritage.
The firm has been shortlisted for the prestigious Architizer A+Awards and is among five firms in the ‘Best Adaptive Renovation and Reuse Firm’ category.
Architizer is one of the largest online platforms worldwide which showcases best practices in contemporary design and architecture. This platform also focuses on excellence in all typologies of projects, at all scales and worldwide.
AP Valletta was selected by judges for its contribution to the preservation and rehabilitation of Maltese built heritage which has been creatively reimagined to improve the environmental, social and economic performances of buildings while respecting their history.

The firm’s portfolio showcases a commitment to sustainability, social enhancement, and historical preservation, evident in projects like Dock n.1, Phoenicia Hotel restoration, and St. Paul’s Anglican Pro Cathedral rehabilitation.
Their collaboration on Valletta’s iconic landmarks, including City Gate and Parliament House, further highlights their impact on the architectural landscape.
Engaging with international experts and stakeholders, AP Valletta also spearheads discussions on heritage conservation and sustainable design, challenging conventional norms.
The awards ceremony will take place in New York on 3rd June and public voting for the award is open until this Friday 10th May.
